Has anyone any idea where the faces of the character models came from? When first scrolling through them, I had the distinct impression that I knew some of those faces from somewhere... Are they based on the faces of the Anet people? Or on those of well know people? Is there a Nicole Kidman face somewhere in there, or a Justin Timberlake?

Oh, and there's a ranger face that looks like Freddy Prinze Jr. too.

I've noticed there's several distinctly different art styles in the faces, it seems they might have had several different people working on them (and slightly poor art directions??!?)

Take the female necro, there's some very "flat" faces with sharp distinct features, some very "flat" faces with really red pouty lips and coloring on eyes etc, and then a very nice face or two with very little coloring but a lot of use of shading and depth -> it looks like it was done by a completely different person.

Mmm I generally find myself only considering 2-3 faces per class acceptable to me, the others I click through going, ugh, ugh, ugh, ugh.

There are some really nice ones in there, but also some that make you think the ugly tree fell on them.

I think there's a place for ugly faces, you might want to look scary or uh, normal :P

But I think there should be more than 2-3 faces that are reasonable in each class - which is why I think it would be good to allow all classes to use any face and any hairstyle.
